You got that right!
Chocolate cheesecake, the musical
Very sorry to hear about the pain you and your family are going through. I know this will sound cheesy, but we're all here for you here on Newgrounds. Sending love your way, Seven. I hope talking through this has helped you.
Thank you. I appreciate yall, I truly do. More people on here have checked in on me than blood relatives.
Laszlo's work is excellent. Hard to compare with Sargent as I find Laszlo slightly stylized, and divergent from Sargent's realism. Can't argue about preference here, tastes differ, and I totally respect that opinion. The study turned out wonderfully, mad props!
Thanks OlTrout! Yeah I think you're right, it could be that slightly stylised look that appeals to me. I still think Sargent is amazing too.
This is wicked. Love the way you've simplified the light and dark. Excellent colour palette, too!
You're too kind, thank you. I honestly really had no idea what I was doing with the colours haha!
Just out of curiosity, what's your current palette? I've been using the same old primaries plus titanium white and burnt umber, except when I tried out the Zorn palette a few times. Zorn was definitely fun to work with.
Ah nice, I really like the Zorn palette too. At the moment I'm using Naples yellow, Indian red, Pale rose blush, Titanium white, Lamp black, Burnt sienna and sometimes Pthalo blue. It's an interesting palette, quite low chroma which gives an interesting effect. I've also switched to using charcoal pencils for my underdrawings so I think a good amount of charcoal is getting mixed in with the paint which kind of greys it down.
I'd be keen to hear if you've got any other palette recommendations.
pls
